Darling Harbour
Darling Harbour is lively, energetic and mostly interactive. Only a short drive from Sydney’s CBD, it is one of the city’s biggest shopping, dining and leisure areas. It is also one of the top outdoor areas of Sydney that has a full calendar of outdoor events plus places to relax in the sun.
Head straight for King Street Wharf if you like nightlife and trendy bars, Cockle Bay has a fantastic waterfront promenade that has alfresco dining and drinking establishments. Saturday evenings a firework display is held over Cockle Bay at 8.30pm.

Darling Harbour is a great place if you like food or socialising in cafes and bars, it has amazing seafood and the freshest of fresh fish from the Sydney Fish market. The choice of cuisines available around Darling Harbour, is to say the least extensive with chefs cooking in open kitchens and barmen mixing the perfect cocktails. There are plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from on the waterfront.

Baba Charlie serves authentic Malaysian favourites with large portions and a great atmosphere. Highlights are the curry puffs, Char Kway, Teow Prawns. Perhaps the banquet menus are the best value if you are in a group.

The Thai Foon has an envious location, and the diners have stunning views over Cockle Bay and the iconic skyline of the city. The food is real Thai, which is the most important thing, served by attentive and friendly waiting staff.

If you fancy a meat fest, Braza Churrascaria BBQ House is a must visit. The samba beat is augmented with upbeat Latin music as you chomp on a spicy Latin flavours and exciting tit bits from South America. Eat as much as you can, all you have to do is indicate to the waiting staff your plate is empty and what skewer you prefer next.

The Watershed Hotel
The Watershed Hotel is framed by the iconic Sydney skyline and the harbour. During daylight hours it serves great Australian pub food augmented with a top Aussie wine list. At night the Watershed metamorphoses into an entertainment venue with Sydney’s top DJ’s mixing up things on the funky house theme.
The Loft
The Loft is a great place for a fun night out, and has a great location right on the harbour. The Loft is chic but full of intimate areas, private nooks, sun-drenched balconies and a long bar to sit and chat over a beer or cocktail. If you are planning a large party or function then the Loft can hold up to 450 people.
