Intel Extreme Masters

Australia’s biggest Esports event returns in 2018 for another global leg of the world tour. This year the competition will expand with sixteen teams will battle it out over three days from May 4th to 6th.

There is an incredible AUD$310,000 up for grabs as well as points towards the Intel Grand Slam which is a step nearer to the ultimate one million dollars prize.

True Grit

True Grit is a military inspired obstacle challenge designed in Australia. The course varies and is normally between ten to twelve kilometers long.

Only the fittest and strongest can negotiate over thirty tough obstacles that are spaced out on the natural terrain. True Grit is quite unique and tests the competitors both mentally as well as physically.

The founders of True Grit have served in fifteen military actions including Iraq, Afghanistan, and Timor-Leste. So the course is realistic and hard, based on tough military training.

Australia v Ireland

Allianz Stadium 23rd June

The Wallabies will host Ireland for an historic three test series of fantastic rugby. 2018 looks as though it will the final mid-year series in the current format.

In 2017 the Wallabies were in Ireland and the Irish ended their hunt for a Grand Slam in the second to last match on the tour. The Irish have not tasted victory since 1979 on Australian soil but this series is expected to be hotly competed as the two nations have been battling each other over current world rankings.

USA v Canada – 2018 Ice Hockey Classic

The Ice Hockey Classic is back after three previous highly successful years, and 2018 will bring together two of the premier Ice Hockey nations to face off together. The teams will feature current league stars plus a smattering of giants from the past.

Canada has been victorious over the last three years and will not want to relinquish their throne easily. The USA travel down under to prove a point and that they are a force to be reckoned with.

These thrilling events are just some of the great sporting occasions that are happening in Sydney in the next few months. The advice is to book early should you wish to go and see them as all are bound to be sell out events.
